The Past and the Future

Set against the background of Mont Baudile, this estate was designed by Jean-Emmanuel Parcé, Co-Owner of Domaine de la Rectorie in Banyuls, and his sister Jeanne. La Chapelle Saint-Mathieu, the estate’s name, honours their departed brother.
10 hectares of roughly 10 different grape varietals were planted by the Parcé family on land that had lain fallow for about 40 years. Their young vines are all lovely, and they have recently yielded their first wines, which are sensitive powerful and full of promise.

The Parcé family founded La Chapelle Saint-Mathieu with an emphasis on reclaiming fallow areas. Over ten hectares, they have grown a wide variety of grapes, creating wines that highlight the area’s distinctive terroir and their dedication to artisanal winemaking.

La Chapelle Saint-Mathieu makes red and white wines under the IGP Pays d’Hérault and “Vin de France” designations.
