Roberto Voerzio is one of Barolo’s most meticulous and uncompromising producers, renowned for extreme vineyard discipline and an almost obsessive focus on low yields and precision. From his base in La Morra, he has elevated individual crus such as La Serra into powerful yet refined expressions of Nebbiolo that balance intensity with clarity of terroir.
The 2015 Barolo La Serra shows the warmth of the vintage through generous aromas of ripe cherry, wild strawberry and rose petal, layered with notes of sweet spice, liquorice and crushed stone. On the palate it is broad and concentrated yet finely detailed, with polished tannins, vibrant acidity and a long, resonant finish marked by red fruit, herbs and a subtle saline minerality.
