Ceretto is one of Piedmont’s most influential wine families, known for shaping modern Barolo while remaining deeply anchored in the great historic crus of La Morra. Through their work in Brunate, they have consistently highlighted Nebbiolo’s ability to combine aromatic finesse with structural depth and longevity.
The 1988 Bricco Rocche Brunate from Ceretto is a classically styled, fully evolved Barolo, offering aromas of dried cherry, rose petal, truffle and forest floor, accented by notes of leather, orange peel and sweet spice. On the palate it is refined and savoury rather than powerful, with softened tannins, bright acidity and a long, earthy finish that speaks of graceful ageing and the cooler, more restrained character of the vintage.
