I had the pleasure of taking part in the masterclass of the 2022 vintage presentation at Domaine Bichot on Tuesday. The wines were presented by MW Richard Bampfield (thanks again Richard) and representatives from Domaine Albert Bichot.

Bourgogne Aligote Champs Renard Domaine Adelie
Some smokey notes, oaky dominants at first appear. Very appearing and easy going. Lots of mineral layer, green apple and apricots. 16 corked Points

Stone fruit coming up, and wines show a bit of licorice notes. 17 corked Points
Bourgogne Cote d’ Or Chardonnay Secret de Famille Domaine Albert Bichot
Fresh and mineral on the palate with a herbal and a touch of pencil tips impression. Well balanced. 17 corked Points
Mercurey Les Champs Michaud Domaine Adelie
Chardonnay with a bold & creamy body. Herbal underlayers, Peach compote, orange peel, great wine — definitely a buy. 18 corked Points
Pouilly Fuisse 1er Cru Clos Reyssie Domaine Albert Bichot
Fresh, mineral, and creamy. Vanilla and melon are in the nose. Mouthfilling, but the sharp acidity brings an interesting part to this wine. 17.5 corked Points
Chablis Grand Cru Moutonne Monopol Domaine Long-Depaquit
A very “chablisiy” Chablis, terroir-driven, lot of unripe Apple. Need time to develop his potential. 17 corked Points
Beaune 1er Cru Clos de Mouches Domaine du Pavillon
Such a delicacy, with powerful and sweet oaky flavors, a lot of alcohol, a classic type of a Beaune with stones fruit, very overripe. Definitely a buy. 18.50 corked Points
Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru Domaine du Pavillon
Surprisingly like a Port wine in the nose. Good acidity with herbal aspects, well-integrated and present oak flavours. Fresh grass coming up with a hint of minerality. 18.50 corked Points

Beautiful Gamay, very pure and good concentration, refreshing, good length on the palate.
Bourgogne Cote d’ Or Pinot Noir Secret de Famille Domaine Albert Bichot
Light in color with violet sparks. Mullet wine in the nose, refreshing. Well made and good balance. 16 corked Points
