2001 Chateau Troplong-Mondot
Although rather backwards for the year, this is a wine which has improved a lot in the last 6 months. With aromas of cherry and rasberry, it explodes on the palate, and completes with a finish that just keeps building and building before finishing with a tannic steeliness. Very enjoyable now but will continue to soften and improve. 84 corked points.

Both rich and racy, dense and silky; a lot is going on. Still fresh, although it feels like it is fully mature. 90 corked points.

Light yellow. Classic lactic, orange aromatics. Medium weight, clay feel. Beautiful interplay of citrus and creamier elements.
